p/c: The Fleisher Collection of the Free Library of Philadelphia
The Edwin A. Fleisher Collection of Orchestral Music is the world’s largest lending library of orchestral performance materials. Housed within the Parkway Central Library of the Free Library of Philadelphia at 1901 Vine Street, it contains over 22,000 titles. Unlike most music archives that only hold conductor's scores, this collection provides complete sets of individual instrumental parts for entire orchestras.
Founded in 1909 by philanthropist Edwin A. Fleisher, the collection includes virtually the entire standard classical repertoire alongside rare, out-of-print, and manuscript works. It is a premier international resource for 19th and 20th-century American music and holds the world's largest collection of Latin American symphonic sets. These materials circulate globally to professional, academic, and amateur ensembles for concerts and recordings
